Product Description
In 2001, Calluna Vineyards started when founder and winemaker David Jeffrey relocated his family from the east coast to California. He delved into Viticulture and Enology, and in 2005, he bought and planted 12 acres of vines. David was very clear about the ideal terroir for his vines, and Chalk Hill, just outside the Russian River Valley, was perfect. With its cool climate, low frost risk, and great soil drainage, Bordeaux grape varieties flourish here. This full - bodied red wine is a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. It offers delicious notes of ripe, dark fruits like blackberries and plums, along with a hint of oak and spice. It's an excellent match for grilled meats and vegetables, enhancing your dining experience.
To enjoy this Calluna Vineyards red wine blend, simply open the bottle and let it breathe for about 30 minutes before pouring. Serve it at a cool room temperature, around 60 - 65°F (15 - 18°C). This wine pairs really well with grilled meats and vegetables, so it's a great choice for a barbecue or a cozy dinner. After opening, if you don't finish the bottle, re - cork it tightly and store it in the refrigerator. It should stay good for a couple of days. Remember, don't expose the unopened bottle to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures, as this can affect the wine's quality.
