Product Description
2022 - Abouriou, Cabernet Franc, Merlot - Cotes du Marmandais, Southern France. This winery, practicing organic farming and certified biodynamic, was founded in 1999. Elian Da Ros, raised on a farm, knew he wanted to be a winemaker at 14. His father grew grains, vines, tobacco, and tomatoes, a local specialty. Elian aimed to create wines as good as those in Bordeaux. After five years learning winemaking in Alsace, he returned home and set up his own winery. 'Le vin est une fete' means 'wine is a party,' and this medium-bodied red is perfect for celebrations. Blended with 40% Abouriou, 40% Cabernet Franc, and 20% Merlot, it's well - rounded, balanced, with flavors of dark fruit, earth, and leather. Pair it with hearty mushroom or beef stew.
To enjoy this wine, first, let it breathe for about 30 minutes before pouring. Just open the bottle and let it sit. When you're ready to pour, do it gently into your wine glass. You can drink it on its own as a treat, but it's even better when paired with hearty mushroom or beef stew. Store the opened bottle in the fridge and make sure to use a cork to seal it. Try to finish it within 2 - 3 days to keep the best taste. If you have an unopened bottle, store it in a cool, dark place, away from direct sunlight and heat. This will help the wine age gracefully and maintain its quality.
