Product Description

This 2020 wine is a blend of 96% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Carmenere, hailing from the Valle de Aconcagua in Chile. Since 1974, the Vicente family has been crafting wines in Chile's Aconcagua Valley. Horacio, the master winemaker, not only learned from his father when they replanted the vineyard in 1994 but also studied Oenology at the University of Bordeaux. He has worked at top wineries like Chateau Mouton Rothschild and Mouton Cadet in France and Chalone Vineyards in California. The winery focuses on vineyard sustainability by planting cover crops between rows. The In Situ wines highlight the high - altitude terroirs of the Upper Aconcagua Valley. This blend is carefully hand - picked from two vineyards. Aged for 12 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels, it has a deep red color. You'll taste rich flavors of black currant, dark plum, red cherry, and black pepper. The finish is well - rounded with complementary vanilla and tobacco notes. It's an excellent choice to pair with barbequed pork. You can enjoy it right away or cellar it for up to 5 years if you can be patient!

To enjoy this In Situ 'Reserva' Cabernet Sauvignon, first, let it breathe for about 30 minutes before pouring. This helps to open up the flavors. Serve it at a temperature of around 60 - 65°F (15 - 18°C). When pairing, barbequed pork is a top choice, but it also goes well with other grilled meats and rich cheeses. If you choose to cellar it, store the bottle horizontally in a cool, dark place with a stable temperature. Check the wine occasionally to ensure it ages properly. Remember, although it can age up to 5 years, it's ready to drink now and offers great flavors right from the start.
