Product Description
In May 2000, Laurent Montalieu and Danielle Andrus Montalieu bought 80 acres in Willamette Valley, Oregon, as a wedding gift to each other. They later named it after their daughter, Solena. The name combines the Spanish 'Solara' and French 'Soleil', honoring the sun, moon, and life cycles, which also reflects their choice of biodynamic farming. This white wine is crafted from 98% Pinot Gris with a hint of Gewurtztraminer. It's fruit - forward, with a creamy and refreshing body. On the nose, you'll detect honeysuckle and apple, which lead to flavors of lemon zest, lychee, and pear. It pairs perfectly with creamy pasta or a summer salad.
To enjoy this Solena Pinot Gris, first, chill it in the refrigerator for about an hour. When serving, pour it into a white wine glass. You can sip it on its own to fully savor the unique flavors of honeysuckle, apple, lemon zest, lychee, and pear. If you're having a meal, pair it with creamy pasta or a summer salad for a delicious combination. Keep the unopened bottle in a cool, dark place. Once opened, consume it within a few days and store it in the fridge with a cork.
